I attach issue 5 of the Articles files tutorial.

I have made a lot of progress.

I do not see the linked files in the created article. See figure 37. I would expect to see the linked files in the figure.

Have I missed something out somewhere along the line?

Please advise.

When you click on 'articles_files' does not appear a list of uploaded files?

Check this: go to view, find the view connected to articles and click Link, then check in 'Type of connection with the articles of Joomla!' -> 'Choose the records to be connected to the article' then 'Connect in the administration side'.
Save.

I have looked carefully at your response. As far as I can see (in the attached jpg file) I have set up the parameters as indicated in your comments. (Assuming that this is the correct view I should be looking at).

To make it easier for you to see where my error is, I have attached the exported zip file.

I am sure you will then be able to easily establish where my error is.

Sorry, I forgot to explain some important steps!

1. You can add a db row called article_id

2. add in 'insert form' article_id type articlelink. In Default value add %articleID%.

Now Shellmanager can connect articles to download files.
I upload the component correct.

Hello - Guilio, Many thanks for the reply and the corrected version of the component.

The steps I have taken are as follows:

a) I removed by existing version of the Articles Files component, and uploaded and installed the corrected version you supplied in the post above.

b) I deleted my existing article, and created a new article. I saved it. I clicked Article_files (See Figures 35, 36 and 37 of the Issue 5 of the pdf manual supplied in the first post in this discussion thread.

I would have expected some entries to after adding the files (see Figure 36). In figure 37 I see no evidence of any result of an insertion of links. Should I see anything.

Because when I look at the front view - I still see the view of Figure 40 - still no linked files present.

It appears that I am still missing something.

Will you please look at the figures 34 through to figure 40 and see what I am still missing?

There is a little bug in exporting:
For fix it:
go to Shellmanager  view button for Articles files -> click link button in your view and click 'save and close' without change anything.

I followed your instructions as in your post above.

With reference to the attached image, shouldn't there also be some text/html added following the click on the articles_files (2) toolbar tab?

When I look at the frontend display, I still do not see the article text AND the hyperlinks to the added rows / download files.

Or am I still missing something important?

By the way - even though the Notify Me of Replies is selected, I do not have e-mail replies sent to me.

- no, there isn't. Missing the icon. You can choose one in your component.

- I do not know. When I have a little time I will test it.

- I have the server in spam list... so the email doesn't arrive. I don't know why.

I'm sorry, I can not remember how it works.
I found this old component.
Here you can attach files to articles, by selecting files them and pressing the button 'add to article'.
I hope you can be useful to understand how it works.
